(On) The Way

Das zweite Semester ist beendet, der Sommer hat begonnen. Meine nächste Station heißt: Kreta. In einem ehemaligen Familienhaus soll hier ein christliches Gästehaus entstehen. Doch als ich ankomme, ist vieles anders als erwartet.  Nicht negativ, einfach nur anders. Vieles ist hier noch auf dem Weg – passend zum Namen, den das Gästehaus erhalten soll „The Way Guesthouse“.

Auch ich frage mich und bin gespannt, wo dieser Weg hinführen wird. Angefangen hat er für mich jedenfalls – logischerweise – mit der Anreise: 

10h, 3 Flüge und ein paar wenige Stunden Schlaf am Flughafen später holte mich Bekah, die mit ihrer Familie das ganze Projekt ins Leben rief, am Flughafen ab. Mit einem internationalen Team (wobei wir nebenbei bemerkt mit nur 3 Leuten 6 Nationen vertreten ;) ) wollen wir hier in der Nähe von Chania am Gästehaus-Projekt arbeiten, Gemeinschaft leben, sehen, was alles passiert und uns überraschen lassen von dem, was Gott mit uns vorhat.

The second semester is over, summer has just started. My next stop is Crete. In a former family home we will establish a Christian guesthouse. But when I arrived, a lot of things were different than what I have expected. Not in a negative way, just different. A lot of things are still on their way – just according to the name the guesthouse will have: “The Way Guesthouse”.

I wonder and I am excited about where this way will lead. For me it started – of course – with my arrival: 10h, 3 flights and a few hours of sleep at the airport later, Bekah, who started this project with her family, picked me up from the airport. With an international team (by the way it only needs three of us to represent 6 nations ;)) we want to work on this project, live intentional community, see, what happens and let us surprise by what God is going to do.
